After the exteriors, now we will talk about the interiors of
the new Datsun Go. Step inside and you will be impressed by the intelligent use
of colors and clever packaging. Now the light colors actually makes the cabin
seem a lot more airy which is a plus point for sure. Overall the design is
simple and very well lay out. First of all the, the Datsun Go gets an open air
Glove Box which basically does not have any lid, how ever other than that it
also get various storage place to put your mobile or bottle holders in the
front door which are quite convenient.
Now when it comes to the Dash Design and
Instrument Cluster, it is quite basic but it works. The instrument cluster is a
basic one with a gear shift indicator, digital tachometer and fuel computer.
Other than that the Go features fix headrests. Other details include a three
spoke steering wheel and to free off space between the front seats, the Go has
a dash mounted gear lever and a unique hand brake. Now back to the space
between the front seats, Datsun says not for third passenger instead it will
use just for storage. The rear seats mean while can accommodate three
passengers, it is not exactly bandings when it comes to leg room and head room
but it is much better than some of its rivals. The 265 litres of boot is also
quite impressive. When it comes to features and equipments, the Datsun go has a
mobile docking station with USB Charging plus an aux-in audio input which means
your smart phones acts actually as an audio system. There is no conventional CD
or Radio but it will be available as an accessory. Other than that there are
basic features like, power windows which, the driver can not adjust power
windows of the passengers from his side, front Power steering, AC and also some
segment leading features like follow me home headlamps. There is of course as
talked earlier, distance to mtp average fuel economy, gear shift indicator and
2 speakers and an accessory socket. Overall though the Datsun Go may lack some
features but the space and uniqueness of some other features actually make it a
good car.
