Hyundai XCENT vs Honda AMAZE vs Maruti Suzuki DZIRE 2014 in India

Hyundai XCENT vs Honda AMAZE vs Maruti Suzuki DZIRE

The Indian car market is very funny and the government policy is making it funnier. Some fine day you will wake up and realize that a popular SUV has a ground clearance that is suddenly goes lesser than a Hatch Back or may be you realize that a Head Lamp Beam adjustment switch is more important then ABS and Airbags and it way become a mandatory feature but one policy that car makers seem to have fall in love with is the sub 4 meter rule which lags the abiding vehicle enjoy tax benefits.

Maruti Celerio VXI Auto Gear Shift Price

We want convenience but we really don’t want to pay too much for it. Similarly many of us could love an automatic transmission in our cars, but we want it cheap and that’s why the Maruti Celerio VXI with auto gear shift priced at 4.6 Lac Rupees ex showroom Delhi has a winning preposition.

Now you have different kinds of automatics, you have the traditional torque converter automatic, you have the CVT or Constantly Variable Transmission automatic, you have the most sporty DSG or dual clutch transmission automatic which a lot of high end car and sporty cars use and then you have this, which is the automated manual transmission. All of these now have slightly different driving characteristics and you have to get used to it.

The automated manual transmission in the Celerio is identical to its 5 speed manual transmission counter part. The only difference is being the absence of Clutch and shifts taking place to an electro hydraulic unit mounted on the top of the gear box and that is what keeps cost down and there is no puff position, you need to use the hand brake to keep it from rolling when parked.

Now if going to blind fall me and ask me what car I am driving just by the engine note I would tell you it’s a Maruti Suzuki. This car uses the same K 10 engine, that’s in the Wagon-R and the Alto K10 but it has got some modifications made to it to enhance performance and to improve fuel economy. For instance, it doesn’t have an accelerated cable instead it goes drive by wire technology which means it got the electronic throttle.
The car puts out 67 BHP of power and 90 NM of torque but with the AMT you need to modulate your throttle inputs for shifts to happen smoothly.
Now the Celerio is easy drive transmission has a kind of lazy shift patterns to it, it takes its time to going about from one gear to the next but when you want some instant acceleration, put your foot down on the throttle and it as of its electronic brain have been given a toss of double espresso, 5th gear to 2nd gear and you get that instant bit of acceleration.
How ever don’t expect the shifts to be as smooth as the conventional automatic, there are some jerks felt between shifts although its not really bothers some.
How ever if you want some sporty performance for some quick overtaking for instant, shift it to manual, down a gear, accelerate, you get an instant pick up, up shift, up shift as and when you want and these up shifts are much faster and for more about how these auto gear shifts are work you can watch our video about the Celerio EZ Drive.
What this combination of automated manual transmission and the K10 Engine does give you though is decent fuel efficiency; claim mileage is 23.1 KMPL while we got nearly 16 KMPL in mix city conditions. The MID also shows you temperature, trip, odometer and instant consumptions besides the selected gear. The Celerio’s electric power steering is light and can get twitchy at speeds. The car’s suspensions are fairly stiff and you do feel a few of the bumps filter through. The 14 inch tyres are decent enough for this car. It’s not a car that likes to be driven in a hurry. In terms of looks, the car isn’t much too write whom about. Looking like a typical creation from standard Suzuki issue.
Its not exactly a tall boy, the space is pretty good and comfort is decent despite the seats being rather thin. It can hold about 235 liters of luggage as much as of the Maruti Ritz, and has split folding seats to increase space when need it. This model only gets standard features such as Air conditioning and manually adjustable mirrors. Tachometers, multi speed wipers and four power windows are also standard.

Over all, is the Maruti Suzuki Celerio good value for money? We think it is. It’s a car that provides convenience of an automatic with the performance of a manual at a really good price point. No wonder, the car is seen in pretty good demand.

Maruti Suzuki SX4 S Cross Spied

Recently we caught Maruti’s upcoming SUV, the SX4 S Cross testing in India. As you all know the S Cross was first shown at the Auto Expo held a few months back. And in all probability Maruti will launch the S Cross early next year after the launch of the CIAZ the Mid Size Sedan this year. As it designs, the S Cross is suddenly in the interesting one and while lacking the presence of crew blue SUV like the Terrano or even the Duster, the S Cross will have take us for its unique looks, at the front you will have some familiar Suzuki styling details while that is interesting the side and the rear are bit blind to us still Maruti will pack in whole lot of features and the S Cross is actually quite a spacious SUV also. Engine options include a 1.6 L Petrol and a 1.6 L Diesel engine with manual and automatic transmissions offered. Interestingly Maruti will also offer the all wheel drive variant of the S Cross which neither have Terrano or even the Duster have till now. So then if you are looking for a SUV in this price bracket we think you should be waiting till early next year.

Maruti Suzuki Celerio Price Specification Review

Hello and welcome to H beats Cars, this is Maruti Suzuki’s all new car the Celerio which replaces the A Star, Zen Estilo and the Indian market. For the Celerio is touted to be against the Hyundai Grand I10 a car which has won many accolades in India as well as globally. Now we had a brief instinct with the Celerio and the first thing is that this car really can not compete with Grand I10 because Grand I10 is superior in every way. What Maruti Suzuki has done has tried to play the weight game, the Celerio weighs very little and that helps getting very good fuel efficiency. How ever due to this there is lot of vibration in side the car, the seats also vibrates, the engine also vibrates, the gear lever vibrates and this 1 L K10 engine which has been updated still it is as good, yes Maruti Suzuki has improved the performance but as far as it competing with the global model goes the Celerio just doesn’t cut it. First of dynamic from the Celerio go, the Celerio has softly spunk Suspension and ride quality is pretty good. Handling is very good too especially in the city where the Celerio is very easy car to drive. What we don’t like in the Celerio is the design, the Celerio looks very confuse. There is lots of expect from the various cars in the Celerio like the rear has been inspire from Alto 800 and side resembles a bit of a A-Star. As far as the interiors go, the interior has been similar been Maruti Suzuki’s car since a very long time. There is decent amount of space but what is really lacking in this car is under thigh support, look at this and you will absolutely know what is under thigh support. Maruti Suzuki has done a very good job in giving a lot of head room over here and this decent amount of leg room right here but the quality is very flimsy. This 235 liters of boot space, what would I really don’t like is the Celerio looks like just as an Alto 800 from the rear. Maruti Suzuki is betting bit on the new Transmission which is an Automatic Manual Transmission but this what Maruti called is easy drive but easy drive isn’t it conventional Automatic Gear Box because you doesn’t use it as talk converter instead you uses an electronic system to shift gears.

Maruti Suzuki is the king of small cars, and the Celerio is going to fit in right where the A-Star and Estilo has left. Both these cars till work at all in the Indian market but the Celerio is here to replace it and boost Maruti Suzuki’s market share in the competitive hatch back segment but the problem with the Celerio is its not a master in any thing how ever it’s a jack of most rates. What is going to go in the Celerio’s favor is it’s a very to easy drive car, it has having very good fuel efficiency and the new easy drive automatic gear box is going to be competitively priced. This is going to be the cheapest automatic in the country which is sure to appeal the city goes. The Maruti Suzuki’s habit of pricing its car is very aggressively we can expect the Celerio to be yet another success from India’s largest Car maker Maruti Suzuki but the only thing is that it can not really compete with Hyundai’s Grand I 10.

Tata Zest vs Maruti Swift Dzire Car Comparison

Tata Motors has just launched the Zest and now its time to do the next best thing which is obviously to compare it with its rivals. Now we are getting a lot of questions regarding which is the better buy, The Zest or well the segment Champ that is the Maruti Swift Dzire. So then here’s a short comparison between these two compact sedans.
Now the styling is a completely subjective issue but you have to say both of they do not have quite match the complete Sedan look which is like the Amaze and even the Accent have. Still it seems Tata Motors have done a much better job to integrating the boot then what Maruti had done. One of the biggest problem with Swift Dzire have always been its styling, it just doesn’t look like a proper Sedan when you view it from the back but when it come to over all styling, Tata Motors has done a pretty good job here. Head Lamps with LED’s DRLS, Lot of Chromes plus those lines definitely gives the car lot of presence and we think this is pleasant looking car. The Swift Dzire, well it’s been around for some times now and its styling has become aged now. Still its face lifted will be coming soon which will change it. So then overall when it comes to styling, the Zest wins the battle.
Step inside and you will be surprised by seeing the Tata Zest cabin and you may say it is a pleasant surprise as this one is the best cabin ever designed by Tata Motors. The design look and feel is definitely very good and now you have to say that it is now the class’s best. What we really liked was the steering wheel, the clean dials plus the center console but what was the major surprise is the quality which is far better than the previously Manza. On to the Dzire and it is one of the strongest point of this car and we think the interior looks much better than the exterior. The quality is good and design is clean and well laid out which is the strength of this car. So then, when it comes to interior, it is definitely a close battle and you have to say on design and space terms both of them have even chance. Now space at the rear both of them are pretty good but for seating 3, the Zest has much more spacious cabin than even the Swift Dzire even the boot of the Zest is slightly bigger than the Swift Dzire but both can’t match the space of the boot with Honda Amaze and even Hyundai Accent.

When it comes to features, it is clearly advantage Tata Zest, it completely blows away the Swift Dzire. First of all, the main talking point here is the Harmon infotainment system which is one of the major highlights of this car but along with this you will get a Bluetooth, climate control, parking sensors, auto headlamps plus even voice commands. I think this all just not present in the Maruti Swift Dzire which has got basic feature like auto AC but what is good thing is that both them having ABS and airbags. So then overall when it comes to features, it is major advantage for the Tata Zest.
When it come to engine options, Tata Zest is available with a 1.2 L Riverton Petrol delivering 89 BHP and 1.3 L Diesel delivering 2 power outputs of 74 BHP and 89 BHP. The Zest diesel also has the AMT Gear box while the petrol has 5 speed manual gear box. The Swift Dzire 1.2 L Petrol and ever popular 1.3 L Diesel engine while the petrol delivers 85 BHP and Diesel delivers 74 BHP of power. The petrol has also an option of 4 speed automatic while the diesel comes only with 5 Speed Manual gear box. When it comes to fuel efficiency Dzire is slightly more fuel efficient than the Zest but when it comes to driving and dynamics the Zest really impressed us with it smooth turbo petrol. You will like the smooth power delivery and general lag free nature of the engine. The Dzire well its also quite fun to drive, we like the diesel engine lot. Both also have similar ride and handling characteristics.

Price of the Zest starts with Rs. 4.64 lakhs while the Dzire start with Rs. 4.85 Lakhs which ultimately sieze the deal. You see the Zest is cheaper, better looking and better equipped than the Maruti Swift Dzire which means also the fact that Zest has and advantage of being a Diesel Automatic. Yes you could say that the Dzire has an advantage of massive Maruti sales network but that is just not enough. So then it seems the Zest job well done by Tata Motors and if you are shopping for a compact Sedan, you should give Zest a serious look.

Maruti Suzuki Celerio in India Test Drive Review

Well country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki also decideded to add a little bit of convenience to our life. This convenience is called the Celerio. Now this is a hatch back that comes with an automated gear box and is actually fuel efficient. So today we will going to find out if this automated gear box is actually a convenience for us on the road or not.

The Maruti Suzuki Celerio has replaced the A-Star and the Zen Estilo in the market, on the look of it, it comes with fine and neat lines, and there is not much of design language to boost of. The Celerio looks wider and taller that other Hatchbacks in market that are in the competitions. The total length of the Celerio is 3600 MM and it stands 1560 MM tall.
Well now if you look at the Celerio, there is not much of designing to boost about, first you look at it and you can easily recognize it to be a very typical Maruti, you see you get standard grill, you get the same set of Lamps in fact if you get a closer look to it you will as a Maruti took a box, Put Zen Estilo in it, put  Alto 800 in it mixed it very well and pop it out, The Celerio.
Even the side profile has not much to talk about, in fact it’s a little too plain. It does come with the large windows and windows can roll down completely so that the passengers in rear seat do not feel suffocated. Well another thing that impresses me a lot about this new Celerio is that the amount of space that you get in this car. Well you don’t get this kind of space in any other car that it is competing with. This seat has been adjusted to my height and there is good amount of knee space here and good amount of headroom here and the seats are actually comfortable with enough thigh support and enough thimble support. So this is a car that can seat three adults and it can do it quite comfortably.
On the rear, the lamp stands tall on the both sides of the boot door. There is no lever to open the boot from the cabin. You get a boot handle on the door only.
Now let’s hit the road to find out how this automated gear box really works. This segment’s first technology has created quite a buzz since its launch. The difference between an automated and automatic gear box is that in an automated gearbox the gear shifts happen through an electronic hydraulic unit placed on top of the gear box. There are two advantages of it, one that’s it maintains engine almost at par with the manual and second it doesn’t compromise on fuel efficiency. Now the Celerio spark with same K10 engine that we are all familiar with. For the figures it’s the 68 BHP output and a 90 NM of torque. When you take it out on the road, in the city it is sufficient even on the highway its not bad. In fact if you are driving in the automated version, the gearing is a little long so it gives you the that extra little power which is needed when you are overtaking of maneuvering in the city and it adds as a benefit when you are on the highway as well. This automated gearbox on the Celerio isn’t very smooth unit though. There is an evident hick up in the car when there is an up shift in the gear, the down shift is rather smooth in comparison. Its small size is easily to maneuver in the city and a turning radius of 4.7 Mtrs makes it very easy to park as well. The car is quite easy to drive in the city, the steering is nice and responsive, and it is not very precise you have to give it regular inputs but it does the job quite decently. It easy to cut and corner in fact it is quite easy to park as well. You also get a manual transmission option here, where you can change gears as per your desire RPM levels for that extra punch if needed at all. But mostly automated gear box which is made for the Celerio, which is a first time thing that Maruti has introduced in Celerio is very convenient. If you are driving in the manual mode and have to come to a sudden halt then the gear drops to the first on its own without an input. Another good thing about the Celerio is the suspension, the Celerio takes bumps with the ease and ride quality is very good. Around corners, it feels confident and on high speed also it does manage to remain calm and composed. The engine sure get noisy once you push this 1000 cc engine beyond its comfort zone. One more pick stop before we wrap to run you through the features of Celerio.

This is the automated top variant which is the VXI, it sufficiently loaded with all four power windows, the Kenwood music system that you see here is not standard and neither speakers. How ever there are two cup holders in the front and one bottle holder just behind the hand brake. The dials are big and easily readable; they display average fuel economy, door hazard warning etc. The rear seat is 60:40 split for bigger luggage otherwise there is sufficient boot space of 235 Litres. The air conditioning is manual only and there is soothing ambient light in the cabin. Now there are a lot of reasons behind the popularity of the Maruti Suzuki Celerion, for starters we live in a country which is obsessed about fuel efficiency and in fact the Maruti Suzuki is the one that came out with punch line asking “Kitna Deti Hai”. Well to answer that question, Celerio in mix conditions City and the Highway returned us an economy of almost 16 KMPL which I personally believe is phenomenal for a car of this class. The 2nd thing about the Celerio is the fact that its price is just about to right. The ZXI version is only available in the manual. The top variant which you can buy in automated gear box is VXI which we have with us and it just priced at 4.43 lakh ex showroom Delhi. So that price is very competitive. It is spacious, it is comfortable and it is fuel efficient.

Toyota Innova Vs Honda Mobilio Vs Maruti Ertiga

Honda Mobilio

Well they say there is a car for everyone, some like the cars fast, some like them fuel efficient, some like them spacious and some like them with lots of gadgets but actually I think when we got out buying a car we want to mix of it all. This is exactly what Honda is understood, worked in this mindset and come out with the Honda Mobilio. Honda’s first MPV offering in the country there is lot of anticipation around this car, people have been waiting like all of us look during the Auto Expo and since then this car has been in NEWS for various reasons. Today we around to drive it, this is a 1.5 L diesel and we will tell you how good it is on the road.

It is a Honda, from the front, from the side and from the rear. Honda is rarely goes wrong with the design and the Mobilio is just another example of that. There aren’t many rather any MPV’s that can look as good as the Mobilio in the market. Front view reminds you of the Brio and the Amaze but Honda has tweak the design in a little, the bumper design is sportier and the grill design is chunkier, Mobilio comes with Halogen headlamps with not LED’s, Fog Lamps are also on the “V” or the “Top” Grid only. Move to side and the two lines on the top and the rear of the door add to the styling. The roof of the Mobilio does not slant at the rear which allows a good head space for third row passengers and Honda has left no stone and turn with the styling. The rear is as smart and appealing as front, the tails and boot garnish given neat look to the rear, there is also branding of grade and the engine at rear. Honda has introduced this whole new golden color in this MPV, there are five other colors to choose from.
Well this is a seven seater and of course everybody wants to know how much space is there on the third row and how comfortable the seats are and this is exactly I will go find out. Good thing Honda done is this one touch seat fold, you don’t really have to put in to a lot of effort and the entry in to third row is quite easy. Well now the third row in Mobilio is actually quite comfortable it just feel a little low but you know the seats are recline able so you can adjust your seats and make room for yourself, the knee room is good enough which is going to be an advantage if there is a tall passenger sitting in the third row. The seats of the Mobilio seem low and have quite thin infect there is a clear lack of under thigh support though the seats are recline able. The second row seats can be move forward and backward but this feature is available only in the “TOP” or “V” grade. The second row seats are fixed in the “E” and “S” variant. Large windows on the second and third row give the cabin a more airy feel and now we come to the front seat. The front dash lay out is the same as the Brio and Amaze. The color scheme, layout and feature and almost same as any other Honda but as the cabin disappoint you the engine gives a peak smile on the owner’s face.
Now the Mobilio diesel is also powered with a 1.5 L i-dtec engine that Honda has got in the first with the Amaze and then with the City, so obviously they all familiar with the engine here, it’s the same power output 100 PS of power and 200 NM of torque so the engine has been known for its fuel efficiency for the record, in the Mobilio it promises the fuel efficiency of 24.2 Kmpl. The car is nimble and the spike, it’s 4386 MM of total length, it is very easy to cut and corner in traffic. This is mainly because of very accurate well behaved steering unit in the Mobilio. Another thing about this engine is the drivability of this engine, it’s a wonderful engine to drive in, you just put it in 3rd gear and you are going in the city and you have to suddenly break and your speed drops then you don’t have to really shift the gear, the engine picks up beautifully, that’s how the drivable this engine is and when you are on the highway and you really feel like leaving the car you, then also the engine let to support you, so this engine has both sides to it, it is fuel efficient which is good for the city and at the same time its wonderful on the highway. Mobilio handles like a pro 2. With diesel Mobilio comes with ABS as standard and that adds to the stability factor. It is big in size but confidence of the car would rise on the road is in traffic. Third row passengers can also enjoy a good ride in the car without hitting their head to the roof. Mobilio has a lot of buzz around in the market, curious on lookers in the expo, many queries and long list of people waiting for it to be launched. That’s the lime light but when you hit the real world is when you realize it is  in smooth sailing after all because.

Maruti  Ertiga

The Ertiga has been on the market for a while now and in that time it gains a lot in its sale. First of all, it’s a Maruti, 2nd, its spacious, 3rd, its comfortable and the 4th, its more affordable than the Mobilio. But we are not talking about near Rs. 20000 or Rs. 30000 price gap but the sub stencils Rs. 1.37 lac difference between the top end model of these cars and this is when we haven’t even factor in the discounts been offered by Maruti Suzuki.

Honda Mobilio Vs  Maruti  Ertiga

Well I agree with what Abhishek is saying that the ZDI Ertiga is actually the 1.37 lac cheaper than the “V” Grade of the Mobilio and that is lot money but Honda has his premium ness attached and has his aspiration value attached and that is why a customer an Indian car buyer doesn’t mind paying that extra sum just to own the brand.
Tested one 2 one the Mobilio has over the Ertiga.

Maruti  Ertiga

The Ertiga diesel is powered by the same 1.3 L Multi Jet diesel engine, and this stay tuned, Ertiga gives a 90 PS of power @ 4000 RPM and 200 NM of torque @ 1750 RPM.

Honda Mobilio Vs  Maruti  Ertiga

Now agree that what Abhishek has in the Ertiga, a multijet 1.3 L diesel is the country’s make diesel engine, nice and punchy but let me tell you my engine has more power, its got 100 PS of power, its more power than the Ertiga. Torque is the same, but at the same time it is more fuel efficient than the Ertiga, this promises a fuel economy of 24.2 KMPL.
While both the Ertiga and Mobilio offers similar equipments, I tell you where the Ertiga is the real winner, it’s the seats, and they offer better cushioning, better thigh support for both 2nd row and 3rd row of seat occupants. Also the 2nd row can be slide forward to make more leg room for 3rd row occupants, a feature that is only available in top end “V” Grade of Honda Mobilio. Well the seats of the Ertiga are better and more comfortable but what I had here is the boot that can fit the luggage of the family when traveling. The Honda Mobilio has the boot space of 223 Litres whereas the Ertiga has 135 Litres with third row up. Coming back to Mobilio if you dropped the third row down, it becomes a flat bed and the boot space capacity increases to 521 Litres which is again more than the Ertiga.
I agree that the Mobilio has more boot space than the Ertiga but the Ertiga is brand Maruti and whether you are living in Metro or in a village far extra part of the country the accessibility is much more and let’s not forget that the cost of maintaining Ertiga is going to be less than all of its rivals.
Yes I agree with the final bit of Abhishek’s argument but I still have the last cut which is the looks, park the cars together and the design of the Ertiga does seem plain in front of the Mobilio. Mobilio, where it’s sharp cuts and lines and dynamic profile is better looking than the Ertiga. Mobilio is 121 MM longer than the Ertiga also but Ertiga at the same times, 12 MM wider and 82 MM taller than the Mobilio. Not just this, Ertiga’s 88 MM longer in the wheelbase than the Mobilio too, Despite this, the Mobilio looks just tall, comfortable and the roomy as the Ertiga. But before we move further, here is a quick comparison of features too.
The Ertiga and Mobilio are so closely match that there it is a tough call to make but the obstacles of the Mobilio do not end here, Obstacle No. 2 is going to make this compare even more difficult.

Toyota Innova

Well I am not gonna been in the Innova comparison today just because this vehicle has its own base in the segment, it is a best seller, it sales like hot cakes. In fact there is a reason why Innova likes by both commercial operators and private buyers. Yes it is an expensive vehicle but again Honda has a Mobilio RS Diesel want to sell at almost 11 Lac rs. Ex showroom Delhi more or so in the same bag is Innova and this is a reason we have this fun in the comparison today.

Toyota Innova, It’s the MUV, that changed the definitions of the MUV’s in the country. It was first launched in 2005 and got facelifts in 2009, 2012 and 2013. Innova is such a popular vehicle that never has the facelift major one. It’s only in 2013 that Toyota introduces this new design language and play around with the look of it. Innova is very popular in its MUV segment with both 7 and 8 seater options. The versatility of the Innova is what does add to its popularity.

Toyota Innova  Vs  Honda Mobilio   Vs    Maruti  Ertiga

Now the Innova is far more senses in MPV compared to the Ertiga and the Mobilio. In spite the price difference between Innova and the other two MPV’s is massive. For example, while the base Ertiga is 1 lakh cheaper than the base Mobilio after discount and the base Mobilio is 2 lakh cheaper than the Innova .off course is paying is so much  for money, this is far spacious, far bigger MPV that is more comfortable for the family for the long journeys. Now another strongest point in the Innova is the diesel motor, this 2.5 L D4D diesel engine is known for its reliable nature, in fact it related to commercial peoples, they will tell you how the Innova have done flawlessly lakhs of kilometers and this could be a piece of mind starter for private buyers.

Well I know that bunny’s first argument for the Innova going to be that the Innova offers a bigger engine but I am here to put things in a little bit of prospective, Innova does have a bigger 2.5 L engine but the Honda Mobilio with a 1.5 L engine offers as much power in fact the Innova only offers 102 PS Power which is 2 PS more what the Mobilio offers and because of the bigger diesel engine that the Innova has, it has an AIRE tested economy of 12.99 KMPL where as the Mobilio promises 24.2 KMPL.
Now we are driving the top end ZX version which comes loaded with gadget and features. Touch screen DVD system here, with a climate control system, a comprehensive driver information display system, a rear camera and of course ABS and EBD are standard as well.
Now this 1.5 i-dtec unit has been carried forward from the  Amaze to the City and then to the Mobilio. It’s the same unit but the good part is that Honda has given it some thought before putting it in to the Mobilio. They have worked on the NBH Levels, cabin is much quitter, if you sit inside in the Amaze you will first notice the amount of engine noise that filters in to cabin, the Mobilio is far quitter in that term, it’s refined, as long as you ran out driving the car really if you are not pushing it to all the way to the red line, the engine seems to do a decent job.
The Innova offers you a unique 2nd row as compared to the Ertiga and the Mobilio, is the only one to offer you captains seat as option in the 2nd row and that means these are completely comfortable. Of course you get own arm rest and you can slide the seats and recline them for your own comfort. So as far as the 3rd row is concerned, I do not want to go there as this can be tight for person like me but idle for children and shorter adults able find this seat comfortable for shorter journeys and this comes in spite of biggest boot in the segment. Main feature is these air vents are separate for last row as well something missing in the Ertiga and Mobilio as well.

The most affordable of the lot is the Ertiga is a people mover, not much in terms of styling and playing but Maruti has got the price just right and its given customers everything they want, the only downside here is that car feel under full load conditions.

The Innova is actually a Hero over here, It’s a car from which other MPV’s inspired to be and market share Innova enjoys is the dream thing for other MPV’s in the same segment. Now as far as the Ertiga is concerned the price has been is so massive that think the competition over here but with the Mobilio the “RS” Version is the one that can actually take the slight below the Innova sales but because of its look. The RS Mobilio is without features like no climate control system, no rear camera or sensors and no high end infotainments systems. On the whole I say is Innova need not worry.

This brings us to the new kid on the block, the Honda Mobilio, the new kid is obviously being more attractive one. Yes Honda has a big game at many many levels but there are problems. At the price point at which the Mobilio has been launched Honda has not offered as many features. ABS and Airbag are available only in the Petrol Top Most Variants, the diesel has gets ABS as standard. Yes Honda, the brand has a charm to itself which is going to be the starring race and the phenomenal diesel engine and fuel economy. So that’s the Mobilio comparison for you this week.
