Maruti Ciaz 2014 Interior Image

Full details regarding Maruti’s upcoming midsize Sedan the Ciaz has be revealed and Maruti plans to launch it by middle of next month. So then here is brief look in to this upcoming mid size Sedan.

Exterior: -
Styling wise you will definitely be impressed by the Ciaz. As though not quite as aggressive as the concept shown at the Auto Expo, Ciaz is still quite a good looking design with hints of the Kizashi. There are some great styling details like the projector head lamps, the big curvy tail lamps and the 16 Inches alloy wheels which are on the top end versions plus you get the obligatory chrome and the large size means that the Ciaz has lot of road presence. Built quality is also quite good. The Ciaz also on the other hand get 7 colors and we think it really looks good on the lighter colors.

Interior: -
Step inside and you will certainly like the big and airy cabin. Maruti has also used a lot of light colors to certainly help in this regard. While for example, design wise the Ciaz follows quite a safe designing pattern, still we think it looks good and quality is pretty good. When it comes to practicality, the Ciaz also does a quite well here with enough storage areas and a big 510 litre boot. Space area at there is also quite good and those who are chauffer driven will certainly appreciate that. When it comes to features, the Ciaz also scores quite well. There is smart play infotainments system which has various functions, like Bluetooth, Aux-in, USB, a navigation, Reverse Camera and Hands free calling. Other than that we have steering controls, rear ac vents and push button start extra. In the safety terms, the Ciaz comes with ABS and EBD along with Dual Air Bags.

Engine: -
When it comes to engine options, the Maruti Ciaz has a 1.4 L Petrol and a 1.3 L Diesel engine. The star of the range is certainly the 1.3 L Diesel with a fuel economy of 26.3 Kilo Meters per Litre which is actually quite fantastic. The Ciaz diesel comes only with a 5 speed manual while the petrol along with the manual gear box also comes with a 4 speed automatic. The Ciaz petrol delivers 20.73 Kilo Meters per Litre.

First Verdict: -

The Ciaz will come with four variants, V, V+, Z and Z+. Even the base variant of the Ciaz is quite well equipped which means the Ciaz is actually going to be value for money. Now pricing is a big issue and we think Maruti is going to price it very competitively, even below its arch rival the Honda City. So then as a package, we think the Ciaz is certainly worth waiting for.
