This is the new Datsun Go, and this new hatch back will be
launched in India
in a few days from now. Having just driven it, we thought we would share with
you our views regarding the styling of the car. Right from the time it was
first unveiled we were really impressed by the design of the Go. Here is the
small car that actually looks quite pleasant, it has a lot of presence and
there is actually no bad angle on this car and unlike some of its competitions
it does not look boxy or over styled, its just right. Based on the Nissan
Micra, the Datsun Go is actually longer and wider, than some of its immediate
competition which is a serious advantage.
The Datsun Go comes in 4 Colours and
in our opinion looks the best in this light blue shade. From the front, the
Datsun Go looks at its best with the chrome surrounded Datsun Grill, the Sharp
Head Lamps plus from the side those lines and the large Tail Lamps at back look
really good. This is a car has various design details that all come together
and do a really good job. How ever, the Datsun’s 13 inch wheels looks too small
and makes the car bit under tyred, Overall though, Datsun has done a really
good job. The built quality is actually quite decent though there is some signs
of cost cuttings with the no rear wiper and a single front wiper. How ever
overall, looking at the price the projected price that is and the styling of
the car, here is the car that actually looks like it belongs to a segment above
and that is a big advantage. Overall the Datsun Go is an attractive looking
small car and we really like its design.
